Listen now
Description
In this episode Richie sits down with Amelia Kuk to discuss her beginnings, where she was born, why her family left PNG at a young age, some of the challenges that came with moving to different countries and starting over. We discuss how she learnt about rugby union and playing for the Palais in Hong Kong that same year then switching codes and her journey to putting on a Jillaroos jumper as well as playing for the PNG Orchids at the Rugby League World Cup. Amelia met Richie and CTEN back in the QLDPNGRU days and we are very grateful to her for hopping on The Unkles to share her story. This is the first step towards our goal of speaking to more PNG women and shedding light on their stories. If you aren't subscribed on YouTube or following on Spotify, you're missing out. Hope you enjoy! Tenk yu stret!
