Clumsy and repetitive writing
While the content is genuinely interesting or intriguing, the presenter’s vocabulary is so limited and her phraseology so repetitive it begins to grate on the ear very quickly. All too often each over-wordy sentence begins in exactly the same manner, synonyms are never employed; in short the writer has little grasp of what makes for strong, idiomatic writing or the editing skills to spot such weaknesses. It’s a shame as it could be so much better without losing its essential ‘down to earth’ quality (hint—sign up for a writing course or at the very least run the rough draft it through chat gbt next time before recording).
