My guest today is Dr. Steven Darnell. Dr. Steven is a Structural Bionformatician, which is a scientist who uses mathematics and science to understand how the shape of proteins control the chemistry of life. Dr Steven is a principal scientist at DNASTAR which is a life science software company in the USA. For all of you listening, just to give you a glimpse what  bioinformatics is - bioinformatics combines biology, computer science, information engineering, mathematics and statistics to analyze and interpret the biological data. So would be save to say that it is one of the most complex and advanced fields of science on the planet. As many of the listeners who know me, have guessed by  now that that all of this is way over my head.  Nevertheless, I look forward to finding out more about this profession, Dr Steven’s journey and asking my primitive questions!
