“This podcast used to be great, but the recent shift to stretching stories over two episodes is a huge mistake. This podcast needs much better, tighter editing: it really doesn’t help the important stories you tell if you include every tiny detail.
There is a huge amount of repetitive waffle and ranting from interviewees, even long swathes of interview where the sound quality is poor or the interviewee sounds drunk or on something. This is unlistenable. We also don’t need snatches of interview to back up every little detail the presenter tells us. If the presenter says “the ring was on the table” we don’t then have to hear a clip of an interviewee saying exactly that.
All in all, this podcast needs a serious rethink. It used to be great, but in its current form it’s amateurish, dull and often unlistenable. This is lazy podcasting; I’m unsubscribing.”
