A few observations and suggestion
I’m a picky guy and almost always end up falling out of love with podcasts I initially am enthused about. Even little things bother me, like what sounds like too much ego in an otherwise decent podcaster. The exception remains Victor and Jack. Jack is the most sweetly humble man I’ve ever heard. And Victor too is obviously a genuinely decent guy. Professor Hanson has the rare ability to connect many disparate dots which has the salutary effect of deepening his listeners understanding. I love that professor Hanson who’s always soft spoken, occasionally subtly lets his anger show. It’s the anger we all feel, which I think is partly born of a profound sense of frustration and even helplessness in the face of so much flagrant dishonesty, and the deep conviction that our major institutions have been corrupted. He doesn’t rant, rave, or rage of course. Sometimes just the slightedt catch in his well modulated voice is enough to reassure us that we’re not alone in our feelings and thoughts. Jack too obviously cares deeply about our country, and our country’s future. I like so many on the Right, am deeply grateful to both of you. The work you folks put into these shows is so appreciated! A suggestion: it occurs to me that the only systemic racism I can discern in our country comes from the Left. The fight against charter schools for one. Also the riots and defunding of police which have been so damaging to the black population in particular. Also the so-called soft racism of believing African Americans aren’t competent to find attorneys and accountants, and lack the competence to secure identification. There are many examples! Think it would make an excellent show! Or perhaps another fine column by Victor, Many thanks again. Al neipris

This is my first time listening to a conservative historian. During my pathway to citizenship I decided to research political values and policies. I had been a strong New Democratic voter from Canada. I had seen VDH on Fox and have a deep respect for his knowledge and ability to communicate the...Read full review »

Cogent, unbiased, deeply justified, empirical presentation on the issues of the day. Tunes out the hyperbole and static on the far ends of the political spectrum. If everyone listened, we’d have a reasoned, reasonable country. Much less hate and an enlightened debate. Agree or disagree, this...Read full review »
