“20% of the show is them being unable to find stuff or being confused. They also have a bad habit of inside jokes which only makes sense between those two. Arguments is often drawn out hypotheticals which forgets the point on the way.
They also started to eat and drink while doing the podcast, which is incredibly irritating to listen too.
I cannot recommend this podcast. It’s very casual but in a bad way. Unstructured and in dying need to be paced better.
Dan needs to cut some topics short. A simple “yes or no” question about screwdrivers and cargo pants can make Linus talk about the whole darn supply chain. And he speaks extremely nervously, he sometimes sounds like he gets beaten after the shows.
Luke needs to focus. Not sure what takes his attention on the computer, but it clearly makes him unable to understand the topics as fast as Linus. He often needs to ask about multiple things before he gets what it’s all about. He is often unable to listen or think about his opinion on the subject. Unfortunately it makes his takes being either “agreeing with Linus” or saying “not sure” or “I don’t know”. It’s disappointing since he’s a funny guy if he gets a moment.
Linus needs to stop fooling around with settings and small technical issues. He is unable to let small things slide, which makes him very prone to wasting time. He clearly have the best ability to challenge topics and different perspectives, but it’s wasted on a lot of things that doesn’t matter.
You need to be a fan of their YouTube channel to get much enjoyment from this. I am a person that heavily dislikes their style of YouTube content, but have enjoyed this podcast (not that much anymore), since it allows them being more genuine, down to earth and honest, while still giving tech news.”
