E1962: Oregon DMV "Mistakenly"Registered Noncitizens To Vote
Listen now
Description
The Oregon DMV admitted to mistakenly registering at least 306 noncitizens to vote due to an automatic registration program for driver’s license or state ID applicants. This issue dates back to 2021, and officials anticipate more cases before Election Day. Since noncitizens have been able to obtain licenses since 2019, only two of the identified individuals have voted since 2021. Those affected will be notified by mail that they need to prove eligibility to receive a ballot.
