“I couldn’t make it through the first episode. The writing and delivery are extremely try hard, just a series of unfunny clunkers delivered as if they’re jokes — complete with dead silences where (presumably?) you’re supposed to laugh. 10 minutes in and I still don’t even know what crime was committed, I’m just listening to a navel gazing diatribe about the host trying to get a job at the Ringer. I have to imagine this eventually becomes a true crime story, but I’m not going to waste any more of my precious earth minutes finding out.”

“This is an interesting story, but the podcast is clearly stalling, trying to get advertisers to pay for 8 episodes. Episode 5 literally accomplished nothing. This should be a 2-3 episode podcast, but the Ringer is trying to squeeze cash out of it. Nothing happens.”
