IN NEW BOOK, UN RAPPORTEUR ON TORTURE SAYS CORRUPT MULTINATIONAL EFFORT TO EXTRADITE ASSANGE IS DANGEROUS TO THE WORLD   Professor Nils Melzer, a professor of international law and the UN’s special rapporteur on torture talks about his new book, The Trial of Julian Assange: A Story of Persecution, written after investigating the Wikileaks publisher’s torture upon the request of Assange’s lawyers. Dr. Melzer describes in searing detail the massive multinational malfeasance, including torture, to which Assange has been subjected and warns that should he be extradited to the US, the world will pay a high price right along with Assange.
