“I struggle with the serial format of Classic Who so being able to experience it through Beth and David’s insightful commentary. They’re able to articulate the appeal of the classic series in a way I can understand and appreciate: through the lens and sensibilities of a modern viewer.
I also love that they’re not afraid to address the flaws, whether it’s slightly ropey storytelling by todays standards, or confronting the racism which wasn’t okay then or now. It would be very easy for them to dismiss it as “just the 60s” but we should be able to say it wasn’t perfect. Long may the pod run!”
