Season 2 was tricky at the time ( until you let go & got it )
Just got alerted to this podcast as I am going back and rewatching the wire ( I watched it when it was first on ) and I just realized my wife never watched it (somehow we have managed to stay married despite this fact -haha).. a good friend told me about this podcast and so glad .. now, to season 2 -at the time ( not looking back), it took me a moment to shift from Season 1 to season 2 and, at the end, it all came together in a mind-blowing way.. ps. Did the previous reviewer refer to black people as “ colored?” ( I don’t think the had podcasts in 1953, did they?).

So much love and respect for the culture! As a former resident of Charm City, thank you!!!! Let the haters keep hating, Jemele and Van will just shine brighter!

My only complaints are there were few spoilers for those just watching for the first time, and I would’ve liked a little more deep dive on the cast and crew to setup the series. I’m a huge fan of Van and Jemele and I can’t wait to see what they do with the pod.

Rewatching the Wire again and keeping up with the pod. The misjudging of McNulty is unwarranted. He’s a good cop, imperfect person working in an impossibly imperfect system. D is an idiot. First pod’s depth wasn’t there. Hoping that’ll change.
