“If you’re familiar with Pastor Davey, then you know his expositional style in teaching, verse by verse… methodically. Sometimes it’ll take years to get through a book.
I was super curious about this 10m format. As a member of his church, I chuckled thinking, “no way he can do it.”
Indeed, these short segments lack the depth you find in his traditional sermons (how could they not?) Where there’s lack of depth due to time, he concentrates more on major themes and gives very punchy and succinct lessons. I find myself deriving meaning in this short format with a curiosity to study more on topics I’m less familiar.
Even with the constraint of time, Pastor Davey does not deviate from his mission to preach scripture and scripture alone. If you’re looking for worldview validation or political validation, you’ve come to the wrong place unless your worldview and politics are shifted towards heaven and not earth.”
