“I listened to this podcast and am furious at the disgraceful way this young man was treated by the State. The criminal often mentioned he knew someone in the Gardai and I suspect a few others as well for him to be held in what amounts to a half-way house. We have a long way to go to consider ourselves a sophisticated society. Joey should be protected to encourage other people to come forward. The criminals should be in for actual life in a proper jail.”
