Chloe Green is in her senior year of high school, gearing up for her finals and hopefully winning the valedictorian spot at her high school! Everything is going according to plan, until Shara Wheeler, her nemesis, kisses her in the elevator at school before disappearing. To try and prove that Shara is a bad person, Chloe breaks into Shara's house where she finds Rory, the school stoner, who reveals that Shara also kissed him before disappearing. To make things even more confusing, Rory and Chloe find a pink letter addressed to them -- unable to figure out what the letter means (and feeling morally obligated) Chloe and Rory decide to tell Smith, Shara's boyfriend, about the kiss.
