I want to like this soooo badly but it just misses the mark. It feels like they don’t prepare at all and just talk about whatever comes to mind on a given subject. All over the place and no major insights. For instance, I’d hoped to they’d have good, evidence-based suggestions for night shift and everything mentioned was generic and just whatever they thought of in the moment. They clearly hadn’t prepared. That they are both ICU nurses also really narrows the scope of experience they have to share. I’m also very disappointed to hear them promote the “nurse as martyr” mindset - not peeing/eating lunch/etc during your shift and touting it as “nurse life” instead of empowering nurses to take care of themselves and find a work-life balance. I think all these problems can be solved eventually, but for now the podcast is a waste of time.
