Excellent podcast, powerful listening during ref campaign
An informative and educational platform during the referendum campaign which brought together powerful voices and gave them time to talk through complex issues in an edifying manner without the noise and so-called “balance” you find on radio. The discussion with Rhona Mahony, Fiona de Londras and Katha Pollitt was so powerful, I actually listened to it three times. These were the voices we needed out there - so clear in their thinking and projection of ideas, so educated in the law and culture - it was compelling listening. Excellently facilitated by the wonderful Kathy Sheridan. I am still laughing at how she described herself as “feeling a bit restless” after Noel Whelan’s litany of apologies the architects of the 8th need to make. Fantastic work. Keep it up.

Good content but Kathy Sheridan’s internalised misogyny makes me cringe every time. Stop interrupting and belittling the contributions of your female contributors when there’s a man in the room! It’s clear she’s less than well read on intersectional feminist politics.

This podcast’s desire to give a voice to women from all walks of life is evident and appreciated. I hope to hear from even more diverse perspectives in the episodes to come.
