A great history of an iconic but vanished institution
Having grown up in the 80s in suburban NY, I knew Five Star as the pinnacle of high school basketball success and competition. That coveted orange camp tshirt really meant something back then, that the kid was elite - a 5 star prospect! Tate Frazier does a great job with the series. It covers everything you need to know without being too long. Having followed Tate since his Ringer days and knowing how he bleeds Carolina sky blue, it also gave this Duke fan some pleasure knowing that he had to spend all that time with K, Grant Hill and Jay Bilas, and hearing God Shamgod describe how much he loves Wojo as a result of the camp must have truly driven him to drink - but it’s a great great series. The fact that he got the late great Tom Konchalski right before his death was another coup. All serious hoops fans need to listen.
