British writer and America’s Cup aficionado Magnus Wheatley has been obsessed with yachting’s oldest and most prestigious competition since the age of 16. Now appropriately based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, Magnus has covered numerous America’s Cup cycles over the years as an independent journalist and for the 37th edition – which is scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain in 2024 – he has been retained by the event organisers as lead writer for the competition's official website americascup.com.
