“While the three “journalists” on this podcast (who’s names are not important enough for us to remember) have a fairly high level of knowledge regarding amateur athletics, they fail to recognize the greatness and utilitarian nature of the 5 major conferences. Without us, er, those conferences, there would be no order to the sport. Smaller, irrelevant schools would think they have a chance (maybe even claim championships if they don’t lose a game against other schools we deem unworthy”). Money would be fairly distributed across the country instead of into our pockets. Worst of all, the country wouldn’t have the pleasure of celebrating the tradition and greatness of the conferences (which in no way expand strictly to get bigger TV payouts). I we vow to listen to every episode until these three clowns get in line and worship, er, acknowledge the conferences.
