Disappointed
I was really enjoying these ladies recapping Yellowstone in anticipation for the 4th season. Unfortunately I had to stop listening as it’s clear they are uneducated to the barriers Indigenous Americans face. “The Long Black Train” highlighted numerous issues such as increased suicide rates on reservations, poverty, unemployment rates and lack of services/support. Asking why an Indigenous family living on a reservation didn’t go on “church assistance” is very ignorant and tone deaf. Yikes

I’m so happy I found this podcast! They went back and dove into season 1 and 2, which is how I got here. I’m getting ready for season 4 and listening to the hosts break down the characters and events makes me connect things I missed just watching it. Looking forward to more from Stef and Sheila!

Having a host who actually reads history is quite an advantage for a show like this. No fluffy talk, no inane questions (that no one thinks to Google!,)...Read full review »
