“Listening to Podcasts was something I pushed against as an avid music connoisseur, I always figured- why listen to someone talk, when you could listen to music?- I stumbled across this Podcast after a friend encouraged me to give them a try. When I tell you I love this Podcast, I LOVE this podcast! It’s everything I didn’t even know I needed. I’ve never felt more seen. Growing up as an awkward black girl, I internalized a lot of hate and rejected myself because of it. This show has given me some of the tools I needed to help me begin love and appreciate myself. Where I would lean away from the things that make me me, now I lean in. There is still a lot more work to do, but I definitely feel I’m moving in the right direction. Thank you and keep making more episodes!”
