“I love a lot about this podcast, including how the hosts interweave history, church history, and the Bible together to put theology in context. It’s one of the very few Christian podcasts where the hosts don’t demean more liberal Christians, even when they disagree with them. However, I had to unsubscribe because of a huge theological problem: they never include women in their discussion of Christians. It’s as if women are a separate category from “people” and “Christians.” Not only are women throughout Christian history overlooked but even the women in their church today. I’d love to hear how a Reformed theological topic relates to how they counsel a single mom running a household or what they learned from a theological book written by a woman. Lest this come off as a “feminist rant,” I am not angry, just grieved. An unarguable fact of human life is that what you care about comes out in your conversations. It just does. And through this podcast I know more about the guys’ feelings on hunting than I do about how they shepherd or think about 50% of the Christian population.”
