Cheers to Community
Greetings. Thank you for your podcast. I, like the both of you, am also in academia—though my PhD is in English. As a child of the late 80s, in a particularly insulated pocket of America, I grew up in the conservative evangelical Christian culture, and was even homeschooled. Although I have never “lost” my faith, it is much different now than it was even five years ago. I currently do not have a church home, but your podcast has certainly made me feel less alone. I enjoy drinking, theology, and popular culture, and your podcast has provided it all. I also have a background in horror and disability studies, and I greatly appreciated your discussions on those topics. I am looking forward to future episodes. May I suggest trying a boulevardier cocktail as the weather turns cooler? It’s one of my favorites. Cheers! 🥃 Anelise Haukaas P.S. I am now in Beethoven‘s fan club.
