unoriginal
like many true crime podcasts nowadays, there is absolutely nothing novel or truly journalistic about this podcast. I feel bad saying so, and I’m sure there are people on this project with good intentions, but I am really sick of podcasts using cases like this as a cash cow, while they offer absolutely nothing novel to the investigation. Each episode of this podcast is repetitive of the last, and after 5 episodes I am finally accepting that they are doing NOTHING to move this investigation forward (unless you count retelling the case for visibility - which, yes, is important). In comparison, I listened to a 1-hour episode about the case from another podcast, and have learning nothing more in the 5 episodes of this podcast than I did in the singular episode that I originally listened to. I’m really not trying to be mean but I am SICK of the exploitative nature of these podcasts. I’m at the point where I am truly disgusted by it. If you’re reading this — DO BETTER. If anyone’s on the fence I’d encourage against subscribing and downloading. There are more thoughtful ways to support visibility of the case and the families.

The number and frequency of ads make it hard to follow-focus on the victims, not lining your bank account!

Interesting story… but it sounds like Poppy from Trolls in the one telling the story and it really throws me off. I keep waiting for her to break out into song or something. Wrong voice for this type of podcast.

Fantastic story. Where can you hear the beautiful song? I looked at Dorry website but it’s not there.
