Internet news for an offline listener
I live offline, outta wifi and cell service, and get a lot of technology and culture news second or third-hand. Often it feels like many media channels can all feel like one sorta uniform channel all mysteriously converging onto certain main tropes. I’ve appreciated Bridget’s insights and reflections for a few years now, standing out in her articulation of how technology intersects with many systemic challenges to historically marginalized people, how it can change or just amplify systemic oppression in many forms. Really love learning about exposing fake black profiles, cool leaders in tech change, AI problems and solutions, and Bridget’s impassioned frustration about Harvard pres. resignation and pressure. In general I have really low tolerance for talk radio, podcasts where people just chat back and forth, and lean towards more organized information on podcasts. So sometimes the episodes with guests are a little much for me, esp. when they chat a lot or just agree with each other repeatedly about something, but the info and reflections are valuable enough to me that I’ve stuck with this one. Thanks so much for the work you do and the inspiring ‘good actors ‘ you introduce me to! Ps as a long term, slightly skeptical follower of Huberman podcast, I also followed your takes with interest. I still listen to some of his work because Im a body/physiology nerd, but deeply appreciate the context, skepticism and more that people have brought to the picture.

This is a very engaging series that is informative while also being funny. It’s casual conversation about serious topics and gives you information in digestible ways. I really hope it continues for a very long time.
