“I first encountered Helen a few years back on a political podcast she did with David Runcimen.
I was delighted when this podcast surfaced although I’d not come across Tom McTague until this.
I am yet to find anyone out there more knowledgeable, impartial and thoughtful as Helen and the wonderful thing about this pod is they cover politics, geo-politics, energy, defence/military, the list goes on.
Tom comes across as very measured, curious, not taking himself too seriously like a lot of journalists i have listened too, and not claiming he knows all answers, and it’s made me read pretty much everything he puts out as a journalist.
They manage to present what could be two truths about a significant world issue, or at least raise the possibility there can be more than one way of interpreting an event or ongoing situation, in a very impartial and detailed way.
This is one of the highlights of the week for me, I learn so much. 100% recommend.”
