“I minister you youth and this is such an amazing resource for me to understand and better understand the views that different groups have and think through ways to communicate biblical view on ideas with them. I think it’s awesome to bring on non-Christians who, though not speaking from a Biblical perspective, can just give a lay on the land of what they see in the culture. I recognize some of the criticism you’re getting in the reviews is that this podcast is getting more “Liberal”, but I urge the listeners to consider if this is not the way culture is always going. Staying relevant doesn’t mean you affirm the things on the left or the right, but you definitely need to talk about it. To ignore the things our young people are hearing as “ludicrous” or “unbiblical” without understanding where the thought comes from is the beginning of ourselves having no more say into the culture. There are certainly some views of the guests that I don’t completely agree with, but knowing where they are coming from gives me a basis to think critically for myself. I especially appreciated the recent episodes with Helen Pluckrose and Alisa Childers. Thank you to Sean and Scott for continuing to bring on relevant guests!
P. S. In response to the reviewer who wrote about the reproductive episode, I think you should listen again that both Scott and Wayne were very humble in their approach to the pill. They did not outright support or dismiss it. I think their uncertainty reveals an intellectual rigor compared to your unyielding certainty regarding the situation which seems unsubstantiated. Maybe we will see the Lord and see that you are right, but maybe you are not. We are of course welcome to believe they are wrong, but we ought to also be open to that we could be wrong. God is the only one who can judge appropriately.”
