“Your law student guess suggested that one means to evaluate jurors is to obscure their picture, gender and voice in a video format, and this could be a means to anonymously evaluate them without prejudice regarding these factors. I agree with it all except the voice part as a determination regarding race. I’ll say that determination of a persons race based on their voice is racist itself. Just my personal experience is that it should not be used bc too often we can be wrong with that measure to determine someone’s race. I wish Elie would have pushed back on that.
That said, I LOVE the podcast and find it insightful and in layman’s terms for those of us non lawyer types.”
