And the point was?
I listen to podcasts very frequently and I always enjoyed listening to a new series when it comes out. However, I must say I really did not understand this new series at all. I kept waiting for the punchline or the story to deliver a lesson or a… Something that would give me an indication of why I should care. From a technical standpoint, the recording is certainly top-notch, the voices are all extremely pleasant, the edits between the daughters and the father of the narrator were all very well done and I was drawn in to listen to the entire episode. However, when it was finally over I asked myself what did I just listen to what was the point? Perhaps I’m missing something but personally I like the story to have a bit of meat to it or at least a lesson learned or a mystery solved or something that takes it to another level then a long, meandering, and less retelling of someone’s past that really wasn’t that very interesting aside from meeting someone at the park by leaving their key ring on the blanket.
