Higher Hopes
I have high hopes for this podcast because all of the other crooked media podcast are high quality. But Episode #1 is essentially only 24 minutes of story with 6 minutes of commercials. Story telling in 30 minute episodes frustrates me, because they are too short to begin with. But 24 minutes is way too short to be satisfying. If all episodes follow this format it will be better to wait a few weeks and then binge the whole story.

Rebecca is a genuine narrator with a personal interest in the story and it shows. Super interesting, can’t wait for the rest of the season! Hugely important real world implications. True crime meets current events.

This Land is reminiscent of the first season of Serial. The case is intriguing but it’s the storytelling that gets you hooked. Rebecca Nagle’s narrative is superb so far and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.
