Something fishy.
The entire concept here is suspect, and honestly doesn’t sound right, narratively or legally. Additionally, the host, Rebecca Nagle, has a boring drone of voice and sounds like a third grader attempting to read out loud in class. It’s awful. Swing and a kiss from Crooked Media here. Don’t waste your time. After the initial jar of the story wears off the logic completely falls apart. This is infuriatingly poorly written. The narrator, in addition to sounding like a third grader on Xanax, interrupts to the flow of the story to take stereotypical jabs at non-natives, law enforcement and white people in general. I’m all for constructive criticism, but the little slings are just eye rolling bromides.

I was completely absorbed by the unfolding story. I was unaware of the case and it has all the elements of a great political and historical story. Even though it is produced by Crooked Media, the story seems more like an podcast from Radio Lab.
