Somber Atmosphere with Sinister Turns...
What makes This Present Darkness really stand out next to other podcasts of horror fiction is the way the narrator builds a sense of intimacy with the listener, drawing you into a place of vulnerability to the horror lurking beneath the stories’ sentimental veneer. Thomas’ voice is sincere and smouldering, immersing you in quiet, understated, and intricately crafted tales that creep up from the floor when it’s too late, like the fangs of a trapdoor spider! Watch out for the dangerous twists and turns that wind down these long and lonely roads, thick with a cold, foggy atmosphere! Slip into This Present Darkness and let the shadows overtake you tonight!

A unique take on the auditory horror/drama. I felt every syllable of the first episode and immediately enthralled with this show. The anxiety and pain is certainly palpable, do not pass on this show as there are more fantastic stories to come.
