“I don’t think it’s entirely true there is systematic racism. I do know that there ARE people who are racist but there is not systematic racism in police especially. The few police officers that did make these mistakes DO NOT represent the whole population. They also say that the police got away with it. The policeman is currently in prison facing death row. This is just my personal opinion but if you want better training on how to deal with situations like this for police and to defund them you can’t. It’s one of the other and if you choose to defund them, the world will be less safe. The girl who said she couldn’t understand why her mom was criticizing the way they are protesting doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Her mom is right. The destruction is not ok. These “peaceful” protests are not peaceful but this girl doesn’t understand that. I’m not trying to insult any of these people but I’m just stating my personal opinion.”
