“I would totally give “This Week in Kpop” a 3.5 to 3.75 but itunes doesn’t allow half ratings. “This Week in Kpop” is two straight guys discussing kpop videos weekly. Stephen seems to be a kpop fan and Kelvin is not, and although I have listened for 5-6 episodes straight I still don’t know if Kelvin really wants to participate in the discussion (or likes Kpop). The good news is that these guys are tenacious, they review the most current kpop videos and they keep up with the podcast (remember your favorite kpop podcast that fizzled?). The fact that they are like “The little engine that could” keeps me listening and you should too!
Even though their phallic innuendos and their clear inability to discern quality music from junk (Kelvin) or trend can be disheartening; this is two straight (?) guys from Texas listening to and talking about Kpop so give them a chance!
P.s. It takes about 4 episodes to like them.
p.p.s. there is a lot of man-screaming so be prepared.
p.p.p.s they played the Zimbabwe national anthem and that got them the 4 stars. mad respect.
