“I stumbled across “This Wildlife Podcast” while following Kim Wolhuter’s incredible Instagram stories when he was featured. Since then, I have listened to virtually every episode (as well as previous episodes) on a routine weekly drive I have had to do throughout the Covid Lockdown.
I lived in camp with Kim for a year on the Sand River in the Sabi Sands adjacent to Kruger National Park and experienced “The Real Africa” but alas now live in the big city (Pretoria, SA) and reminisce over those days walking along the Sand River daily.
Despite not working in the bush any longer, I still have a deep passion for conservation and this podcast truly does bring the wild to us. The energy in every interview is generated by absolute passion and dedication and with that comes an authenticity that brings the people, locations and subjects to life. Images in my mind evoked by these passionate individuals of places, smells, sounds and sights across the African continent are a vivid and beautiful reminder of a past life and a deep love for these wild places!
Amy drives an entertaining and informative narrative with her enthusiasm and passion in every episode which is somewhat contagious and leaves one craving more every week. As I mentioned to Amy in a comment, I cannot believe they have only been producing the podcast for as short a period as they have because it honestly sounds like years of experience and expertise have gone into the quality production of this outstanding podcast.
Keep up the good work guys!! The giants and the “little people” out there doing their part for conserving our beautiful “Blue and Green” have a desperate need for this voice and you’re giving it to them!!”
