Offensive, blasphemous and despicable. I love it!
With so many things in this world such a rich source of humour, why choose a text billions of people regard as the most holy, most sacred, most profoundly moving manuscript ever gifted to mankind? Because it's mad as a box of frogs, that's why. And from Genesis 1 onwards, Thomas and his brilliant podcast pull no punches when it comes to stripping the bible down to its weary old pages, blowing the dust off and exposing the text for all its hilarious nonsense. What you won't find here is a respectful treatise on the power of the bible - there are plenty of podcasts out there like that, so you'd do better to find them rather than listen if you are that way inclined. What you will find is a genuinely funny guy working his way book by book, chapter by chapter, word by word through this stodgiest of texts and doing it in a way that makes even this miserable old shell of a man laugh out loud without fail. I cannot recommend this podcast enough. If you truly feel that you HAVE to work your way through the bible (and I, an Atheist, like Thomas, felt morbidly compelled to do so) I can think of no more palatable, enjoyable or informative way to do so.

Very entertaining and funny. Of course, he does have great comedic source material to work with ...

This is simply fantastic. A true, yet ironic, look at the Bible with honest commentary. Great listening for a theist who wonder why atheists view the Bible as nothing more than fiction. The funnies parts for me are the repetitious verses that go on for pages making you becoming completely...Read full review »
