Production
Skylar’s story is so heartbreaking and these two women tell it well, with lots of love for Skylar and her family. You’ll get invested, you’ll get upset, you’ll want to know why all of this happened. You can tell Justine and Holly care about this case and the Neese family. The production on the other hand is rough. There are too long of pauses randomly where I was checking my phone to make sure I didn’t pause it. Let’s talk about the sound. Omg the sound. I had to have my hand on the volume for the entire podcast because they didn’t balance the output levels. It will switch from a difficult to hear quiet recording to a massively loud ad that could wake a baby up (speaking from experience). Putting more time and effort into editing would’ve made it much easier to listen.
