In this episode, I got to talk with Dr. Douglas O’Donnell about his new devotional, Daily Liturgy Devotional. He received his Mdiv at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and his PhD at the University of Aberdeen. Douglas is the senior vice president of Bible editorial at Crossway. He has authored and edited over twenty books and has pastored many churches. Douglas has served as a professor and has trained people all over the world to read and teach the Bible. In this conversation, we discussed his liturgical devotional, why he chose to split his devotional into eight different parts, each focused on a specific aspect of God and his commands for us. We also talked about what liturgy is, why it is important, and if it can turn into mindless ritualistic moralism. I hope you enjoy!
