Boy George - is that where my copy went?
Read this book in the 90s. Loved it, lent it to someone and it never came home. Could never remember the title but knew it was on my top 5 all time biographies. It’s really funny whilst brutally detailed. Have asked so many ppl if they’ve read it but no takers. Thank you for sharing a really great recap. The family origin story was a book in itself. Camp men who embrace their gender are hot because they’re brave and confident but aware of emotions. Idk - maybe that’s what resonated with us 80s teen girls in Sydney? We loved Bowie too.
