“This is the only podcast I listen to on 1x speed because I want to be able to digest every point that is made throughly as J and Ben expertly dissect the story page by page. This has been the podcast I lost look forward to coming out every week for the last year. Full marks, 5 stars to Griffin Door! Question - as you guys have discussed the dementors possibly sensing Voldemort’s piece of soul in Harry as the reason they try to go for the kiss on him, it made me wonder - instead of planning for Harry to “die” to eliminate that piece of soul, why does Dumbledore not simply have the dementors extract it from his body? If the souls are not entwined so intricately that allows only one to be destroyed upon death, why could the dementors not target extraction of just Voldemort’s soul piece? Or for that matter, why can they not perform the kiss on any of the horcruxes?”
