A start to something great
Just wanna say before we dive in to the first three episodes on October 1st, I think this will be really amazing. I am from the Czech Republic and I’ve been following you guys on YouTube since about 2015 and I just love your work. The reason I mentioned where I’m from is because here in Czechia there’s actually someone who’s already doing what you’re about to do. It is a podcast rereading all chapters one by one and examining them in very close detail from every possible angle. (It’s called Neplecha Ukončena - Mischief managed). Naturally it’s only in Czech language, so the target audience is obviously way way smaller. But that’s why I am excited because the idea of reading through each chapter and discussing every little thing and it’s meaning has really caught on here and the podcast has become very popular! And I believe the same might happen here and this project might be really successful, especially cause it can reach way more people in English. If I may suggest something; the more details you focus on the better. For example the etymology of certain words or names in the story hides plenty of subtle information that really offers a new bright light on the way JKR has written these books. And that’s just one of the million angles there are. In our podcast here, we’re currently already in book 5 and like I said, the more unknown details and little things you can find the better this project will be. I am so looking forward to what you guys have in store for us!💪🏻

Honestly I’ve been a huge fan of SCB for YEARS, but episode 1/chapter 1 felt like a super long tangent. Yes, most of us that are listening to this podcast have read/listened to these books before, but if this is supposed to be a podcast chapter by chapter, why are we discussing things that happen...Read full review »
