In spite of its homemade feel and low-budget trappings, TikiBar TV succeeds, and often wildly. Much of the credit is to be laid at the feet of the cast- who have an appealing interpersonal chemistry and a clear lack of pretense. Some episodes are stronger than others- but the general trend of the series is one of increasingly sophisticated production value and denser humor. Not for children, due to language and to the VERY cavalier attitude about heavy drinking. And not for all grownups, either, particularly recovering alcoholics.
