Great take overall, but missing Indigenous perspectives
I’ve really enjoyed this podcast overall! It presents a complex take on this history and helps me understand how we got here. However, I also notice that one of the most important perspectives, if not the most important is completely absent thus far—that of Native American tribes in Oregon. For centuries they were stewards of these forests and I can imagine they also had a lot to say on this issue. How were they present? What was their forest management like before white settlers arrived and how did they and do they still fight the timber industry and/or environmentalists. I’d love to have at least one full episode on this history.
