“Really outstanding podcast, I practically binge listened all in one day. What is so interesting is how it all began: the scientific basis of timber companies and the for-profit forest service, thought to be a social institution to serve all of the community, was really, consistently siding w big business. Unfortunately there are some unforeseen consequences and poor inaction by activists to ensure that these communities weren’t completely destroyed. Was it due to a fight-fight-fight mentality? Partially provoked by the congressional revenge via republican administrations or the looming globalism&expansion of corporate rights? Probably.”
