I learned about this podcast through the Throughline podcast, and I’m so glad I came here. I didn’t know how important in environmental protection the timber wars were. I didn’t know the role that Fish & Wildlife played as well. We’re still feeling the effects today. This topic is so incredibly important. I feel like this is a very balanced podcast that shows both sides to the timber wars, both the side that has been fighting for the protection of the forests, and the side of the timber workers. Unfortunately, as is made clear in ep 6, this became a war, where sides were fighting to win, instead of working on solutions. We could learn a lot through this. That being said, as is often the case, there’s a lack of Native American perspective.
