! , Episode Seventeen In the previous Episodes we painstakingly clarified the Maimonidean approach to the defining essence of Moshiach: Rather than being a Miracle Man, his mission is the full restoration of, and penultimate perfection of Torah study and Mitzvah observance. Reflecting this, the descriptive terminology thus far employed by the Rambam's has eschewed focusing of the miraculous transformation of life as we know it, and instead highlighting Moshiach's stated mission and purpose. This approach also deepened our understanding of Moshiach's place withing the broader framework of Torah theology and Faith Foundations. In this Episode we revisit the subject in continuing our study of Mishna Torah, Laws of Moshiach. In narrating the actual trajectory of Messianic development, Rambam seems to studiously ignore the inspired descriptions of our Sages. The narrow vision we are presented with ostensibly minimizes, rather than maximizing the Torah truth. The explanation beautifully dovetails into the thesis we've already established, lending further proof to its veracity and further clarifying our understanding of the subject!
