“It's weird western ... and so much more. The dialog is Deadwood-esque, the world building is subtle, fantastic, and consistent. The characters are tough and honorable; loners yet profoundly and compassionately connected to the folks in their 'family.' The story is compelling - you won't be able to stop. I uust finished the last chapter and was enthralled and moved.
Matthew Jordan is a fantastic writer. It's very visual and immediate and evocative. I'd walk around listening to the story and be making the movements of the characters with my face and hands (yeah, I bet I did look weird). Lots of mystery ... and it's not all solved yet. Some writers who build such unique worlds get wrapped up in the exegesis. Here, the world unfolds through the adventures of Rhamuel and Abranyah and .... don't want to spoil it for newcomers here.
In addition, the production is fantastic, some of the best I've ever heard. The music is great and adds to the story, not just tacked on.
As a long-time fiction podcast listener, I'm telling you - download and listen. You will be engaged and entertained and intrigued!”
