Description
In episode 3 of "To All The Cars I've Loved Before," Tim Cokeley shares the stories of his first car, a 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo which was driven by a little lady to church on Sundays.  Tim tells us how he had the fortune to acquire his second car from his sister,  a 1979 Plymouth Horizon TC3, which required a new clutch to make it roadworthy. Being an early front wheel drive car required pulling the engine, so Tim resorted to Chilton's Car Repair manuals to figure it out - remember this was a time before the Internet and YouTube. He rounds out the trio with an 1991 Isuzu Trooper II, wishing he had never parted ways with and shares how he dealt with a bad ignition switch using a trick inspired by his own father.
