“My favourite royal podcast. Kinsey gets big hitters, Valentine Low, Andrew Morton, Perez Hilton, Gyles Brandreth, Tom Bower. It’s full of the latest, hottest royal tea, but also has tons of fascinating context on slightly earlier periods showing how the royal family got where it is now. Much of this is also new info so even royal buffs will be entertained.
It’s very funny, packed with hilarious anecdotes, but is a show with a brain too. It goes into political & legal issues around the royal family and how it functions and is structured. This is done clearly and accessibly but in great depth. Making a show that is this entertaining without being lightweight is quite a skill.
Kinsey is a great interviewer, she interacts lots with her listeners so she has a great feel for what her audience wants. She gets the best out of her guests.
If you like stories about Royal dogs doing naughty things this is the podcast for you too.
Also I have heard she has a direct line to the corgis for gossip, once stole a bottle of gin off the Queen Mother, was the only podcast Queen Elizabeth II listened to, kidnapped Shergar for the lolz and never got caught and is the only woman over 25 that Leonardo Caprio is willing to date. She also has fantastic taste in fluffy coats. Give the podcast a listen, you won’t regret it.”
