“And I mean that in the absolutely best way possible. I’ve been listening/watching these two since... 2011? 2010? Gosh, I can’t remember. A long time. From the start it was their honest perspectives of living abroad combined with their adorkable sense of humor and chemistry as a couple, who are clearly best friends, that captured me as a viewer. I started out loving their honest reviews of Kpop videos and the sometimes questionable attempts at English you can find therein and stayed for the humor, the honest foreigner’s perspective of a country I’d come to love and the wonderfully detailed stories of the surprising connections and beautiful moments they experienced in each country they’ve lived. They just go and explore, afraid or not, the world they live in and that has been a kind of bravery I’ve needed inspiration from the last ten years of my life. To go out and be with people. Make mistakes. Stumble over your words. You’re definitely gonna offend someone out of ignorance at some point in a different culture so just accept that and vow to keep learning. Martina’s personal journey with EDS really began to hit home for me as well when my own chronic symptoms with a different disease became increasingly difficult to handle a couple years ago. So she’s become a personal hero of mine and a huge inspiration, again, in a completely different way for this part of my life. Whether you’re an aspiring traveler or just a human in pain who needs some inspiration of their own, give their stories a listen. You won’t be disappointed.”
